Prairie Locator Mobile is the official app of prairielocator.com.
Enter any Legal Land Description for Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba and you will be provided with the GPS Coordinate as well as the option to plot it onto a map and retrieve driving directions to that location.

Works great. Can you add a field for the particular quarter section?
I used the website quite a lot, but now I hardly find myself using it. The app provides the same functionality but I can use it when Im on the road. Very polished.
Searched for an app like this for months! No more flipping through the gasplant atlas! A field for the quarter section would be nice though.
Fantastic app! Looking into using it for the volunteer fire service. Would be 5 stars if there was a field to identify the quarter section. Excellent work.
Been waiting for this app for some time.Seems to work well.Now I can officially get rid of my gps in my truck and just use my i phone or I Pad.It would be nice if you could search by 1/4 sec though.When this is done I shall add another star.Nice work

Some bad moments
Should have the ability to put the entire LSD in. And it has not been working lately. I would give more stars if it worked a little better and had the entire LSD.
This is great if you have an Internet connection. It isnt mentioned that there is no offline use available. This app would be even better with possible offline use. If it were possible to download the map of the province (or part of a province (ex. Southern Alberta)) and look around yourself would be awesome. Ive seen other apps were you can download cities and search for street names. Could that not be done for range roads and township roads?
Now I get the update and they charge $9.99 for Pro, which is still unclear how its better. You pay a buck an now they want $10. Still no offline use. Cant wait to hear the complaints on how Pro is a rip off for $10.
I downloaded to get location position of a coordinate. It couldnt do it. I wasted 10 bucks.
With the extra cost of the pro side I expected to be able to plot more than one point in a trip; maybe able to layer a map with a second set of mapped locations with time sensitive notes that would prompt reminders in 120-180 days. Hope this app upgrades, as it stands the app on the pro side isnt worth spending a nickel to get.
This app should allow LSD as would pinpoint location with greater degree of accuracy!! I am not happy to have to pay price asked for professional upgrade--also a complete GREAT APP would allow both conversions & incl GPSConvert to legal land. Then ask for $$...
I dont usually write reviews however this GPS is not good, you basically need to buy the upgrade instantly if you work in the oil field so nope dont buy it
